Camping during the 2008 Southern Iowa Fair...

Camping will be reserved by numbered post.

Anyone camping in the campground areas must have a camping pass. Passes may be purchased at the fair office.

The camping fee shall be $80.00 for the duration of the Fair which will include two parking passes. Once your fee has been received, you will be mailed your camping pass.  Your parking passes may be picked up on Monday, July 21st.

No campers will be allowed on the grounds before 6 a.m. on Saturday July 19, 2008. If your camper is not on the grounds by noon on Monday, July 21, 2008, your campsite may be given to someone else unless other arrangements have been made. No campers are allowed on the grounds until Saturday.

Only one car / pickup will be allowed per campsite. All autos must be parked beside the tent or camper. Parking in the roadway is prohibited.

Camping Information
The only reserved camping is during the Southern Iowa Fair, all other events are first come first serve. There are 100 camping spots with 30-amp service. If you would like to use the camper dump station, there is a $5.00 charge per dump.
Rates are:

$ 80.00 per week
$220.00 per month

 

Building Rental Information

To rent a building, please call the Southern Iowa Fair office at 641-673-7004. A rental agreement must be completed and can be obtained at the office or, if requested, one can be mailed. A down payment of ½ the total cost is required to hold a building. There is no refund with 60 days of an event. All buildings are available April 1st – September 30th.

DAV Building:

   24’ x 60’ – 1488 sq. ft. (Available April 1st – November 30th)
   $75.00 for the first day
   $50.00 each day after
   $60.00 deposit for clean up
   (Building includes 12 large tables, 3 small tables, 80 chairs, a restroom, refrigerator, sink  
   and microwave)
   No alcohol is allowed in this building

Varied Industry Building (Seating for 250-275)
   60’ x 80’ – 4800 sq. ft.
   $100.00 for the first day
   $ 90.00 for each day after
   $ 60.00 deposit for clean up
   $ 25.00 to set up a day in advance
   (Building has a sink area)
   Alcohol is permitted, but it cannot be sold nor donations taken/accepted.

Exhibit Hall (Seating for 350-400)
   60’ x 120’ – 7200 sq. ft.
   $125.00 for the first day
   $100.00 for each day after
   $ 60.00 deposit for clean up
   $ 25.00 to set up a day in advance
   (Building includes a restroom, refrigerator, and a sink area)
   Alcohol is permitted, but it cannot be sold nor donations taken/accepted.

Free Stage
   40’ x 70’ – 2800 sq. ft.
   $100.00 for the first day
   $ 90.00 for each day after
   $ 60.00 deposit for clean up
   $ 25.00 to set up a day in advance

Tables & Chairs
We have 110 tables and 550 chairs. To use them on grounds it is $4.00 per table and $.35 per chair. Off grounds prices are $6.00 per table and $.60 per chair. There is a $100 deposit on all tables and chairs leaving the grounds.
